SCOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Our Little Stars Scholarship Program requires a partial tuition, which does not carry the full tuition for each class. Scholarship students are able to take 3 classes per week. All scholarship students are required to become a member of YMCA Vanderbilt (Annual Membership Fee $90). Tuition will be waived for your first session and will be charged only $80 for every session (8 weeks) from your second session. All scholarship students must take the required 3 classes (Ballet, Modern and either African, Tap or Jazz/Hip Hop). We have 3 different age groups, ranging from 7-12 / 13 -17 / and 18 & up. Students interested in our scholarships must attend our open classes where the scholarship program will be offered. Open classes are only held a few times a year, so be sure to ask us in advance when they are scheduled. This program is strictly for serious dance enthusiasts. Scholarships are considered based on student’s attendance, attitude in the class, and school grade. All scholarship students are required to attend our annual and seasonal recitals and to also wear uniforms.

JR DANCE COMPANY

Little Stars Jr. Dance Company is an apprentice position of Urban Folk Dance Ensemble. Auditions will be held only once a year, and is in session for a one year period. If you would like to continue your enrollment in the Jr. Dance Company, you must take the audition again. This program is strictly for serious dance enthusiasts. Members are considered from the student’s attendance, attitude in the class, and school grade. This program is for ages 9 and older, intermediate to advance only. The Audition is free. Tuition is only $240.00 for a session (8 weeks) and covers all 4 mandatory classes (Ballet/Point, Modern and Jazz/Hip Hop which includes all rehearsals). You are able to take any other classes in addition to the mandatory ones, adding only $10/class. Please fill out the application form, making sure to indicate your class selections. All Jr. Dance Company members are required to attend our annual and seasonal recitals and to also wear uniforms except for rehearsals.

WORK EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Little Stars Work Exchange Program (2 sessions period) is designed only for our students, 16 and older. You must be enrolled in our dance school for at least 1 year to apply. This program is only for serious dance enthusiasts who need financial aid. Auditions will be held at the end of each semester. Only 1 to 3 students are selected per audition.
Work Exchange Program Students are required to attend the Annual Recital in June.
